Switching from Bullhorn

What you can move to Symphonee today, how to export it from Bullhorn, and what stays behind.

Import Bullhorn candidates and contacts with a built-in preset, then review what stays behind.

Switching help included: we review your export with you and run a test import before you go live.

Creating an account starts a paid subscription you can cancel anytime.

Export from Bullhorn

  1. Open a Candidates or Contacts list in Bullhorn and select the records.
  2. Choose Actions, then Export to CSV. Large books may need one export per page, up to your list export limit.
  3. Keep the CSV as exported; you do not need to rename the columns.

Import into Symphonee

In Symphonee, open People, choose Import, select Bullhorn as the spreadsheet source and drop the CSV.

What transfers

First and last name, email, mobile or phone, occupation (job title), company, LinkedIn URL and city map automatically. Split name columns are combined into one name.

Known gaps

Notes, attachments and CVs on file, placement history and custom fields do not transfer from the CSV.

Accounts, jobs and CVs

Import CVs as PDF or DOCX in the same dialog to rebuild parsed profiles. Accounts import from a CSV of company names or websites, and jobs from a CSV with title, company, location and description columns or from job description files (PDF, DOCX or TXT).

After the import

  • Exact email or LinkedIn matches merge into the existing person. Likely duplicates are queued for your review instead of creating silent copies.
  • Columns Symphonee does not recognize are skipped rather than imported, so compare your headers with the list above before you import.
  • If you ever leave, you can export people, accounts, jobs, placements and history at no cost.
