Switching from JobAdder
What you can move to Symphonee today, how to export it from JobAdder, and what stays behind.
JobAdder exports import as a generic CSV. There is no JobAdder preset yet, so check your column names first.
Switching help included: we review your export with you and run a test import before you go live.
Creating an account starts a paid subscription you can cancel anytime.
Export from JobAdder
- In JobAdder, open the candidate or contact list you want to move and use its export to spreadsheet option. Export permissions depend on your JobAdder account.
- For a complete database export, ask your JobAdder administrator or JobAdder support.
- Save each file as CSV before importing.
Import into Symphonee
In Symphonee, open People, choose Import, keep Generic CSV as the spreadsheet source and drop the CSV.
What transfers
Columns with these English names are detected: name or first name and last name, email, phone or mobile, company, title or position, linkedin, location, skills and notes. Rename other headers, such as Mobile Number or Current Employer, before importing, or review the file with us.
Known gaps
Notes history, attachments and CVs on file, placements, pipeline stages and custom fields do not transfer.
Accounts, jobs and CVs
Import CVs as PDF or DOCX in the same dialog to rebuild parsed profiles. Accounts import from a CSV of company names or websites, and jobs from a CSV with title, company, location and description columns or from job description files (PDF, DOCX or TXT).
After the import
- Exact email or LinkedIn matches merge into the existing person. Likely duplicates are queued for your review instead of creating silent copies.
- Columns Symphonee does not recognize are skipped rather than imported, so compare your headers with the list above before you import.
- If you ever leave, you can export people, accounts, jobs, placements and history at no cost.
